Furr Buddies is a mobile application designed to simplify pet care by bringing multiple pet-related services into one platform. The aim was to build a user-friendly platform that brings together essential pet care services in one place. From tracking health and setting reminders to finding local sitters, vets, and accessing pet-related products, the app is designed to simplify the lives of pet owners while building a sense of community around shared care and companionship.

As pet lovers, we recognized how difficult it can be for owners to manage their pets' needs while balancing busy lifestyles. Whether it's remembering vaccination dates, finding reliable sitters, or simply accessing quality care products, there was a clear need for a single, trustworthy platform. Furr Buddies was developed in response to these everyday challenges - providing pet owners with a comprehensive tool that not only supports their responsibilities but also connects them to others who share a passion for pets.

1. • Conducted surveys using Google Forms, empathy maps, and developed personas.
2. • Defined user flows, information architecture.
3. • Created low- and high-fidelity wireframes, branding elements.
4. • Prototyping.

key learnings

1. 1. The user research (surveys, empathy maps, personas) helped uncover real pain points beyond surface-level problems.
2. 2. Following the UX design process end-to-end helped me understand how user flows and journey mapping shape the final product.
3. 3. Creating both low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes taught me how to validate ideas early before committing to a final design.
4. 4. Managing multiple services in one app taught me how to balance complexity while keeping the UX simple.
5. 5. Using consistent colors, fonts, and visuals makes the app feel more trustworthy, and also strengthened my visual design skills.
